The world leader in the manufacture and design of a huge range of Peiner Grapples and Buckets is SMAG Germany. Our production line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting devices, a variety of other types of specialized lifting machines and single rope radio control grabs.



To date, Peiner has supplied more than 75,000 units across the world. Our unique grabs deal with a variety of materials from iron ores, cement, coke, fertilizers, refuse and scrap, among a variety of other things. SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. for more than 12 years within the United States market place. Different industries such as Steel Mills, Waste to Energy, Scrap Handling, and numerous other material handling facilities like Bulk Transfer Facilities now utilizing our grabs and buckets to get their tasks done.



The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around delivering grabs which handle the biggest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner buckets and grabs is approximately 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This means transporting greater quantities of supplies quicker. The wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related components is less. By combining innovative design and high quality materials with manufacturing, the desirable weight ratio is obtained.



Grab sizes will range from 1 cubic yard or less to over 50 cubic yards in order to meet the requirements of the customer. In addition, Peiner USA Inc. provides a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the models purchased in the United States, as well as the addition of brand new grabs and buckets.
