Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard lift trucks could not move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to lift workers. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
