Because of their simplicity compared to a traditional DC motor, Hyster has transitioned to the AC pump motors and traction. When used in a regular working environment, the AC motor's periodic maintenance intervals can be as much as 500 hours. There is no arching, sparking, or maintenance, and no need to service motor commutators, brush rigging, or brushes. Also, these motors develop lower temperatures overall when compared to DC motors which give equal output. Hyster AC pump and traction motors provide greater speed capabilities, thermal performance, more torque, and continued reliability.
The top of the industry masts, Hyster's vista masts are made of solid steel cast cross members. Additionally, they are designed with a big window for greater visibility. They have full-face straight load rollers which are canted at three degrees and feature the nested channel design. Additionally, brass side thrust plugs allow the operator to make adjustments to the mast easily during maintenance without removing or disassembling the mast. The Vista mast is built and designed by Hyster to precise specs.
Hyster forklifts feature the industry's most dependable steer axle within the industry for hydrostatic steering. This steer axle needs little to no maintenance and has been built to be dependable and strong. For added safety, the Operator Pre-Shift Checklist requires the driver to answer some questions to make certain that the model has been checked prior to use. This feature is optional which means the lift can be programmed not to start if the checklist is not done or if there is a problem that needs attention before lift operation.
