Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines manufactured by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial settings where the equipment should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Several of the key characteristics offered by this combination comprise out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Also, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also provide smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system offers quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machines by Terex are ideal for both indoor and outdoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. The outreach provided by this particular model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Moreover, they offer terrain and grade maneuverability, utmost power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
